Montana was fantastic...we spent 6 days at the lake, just relaxing and playing. I was a million miles away from work and my whole outlook on life was changed. I did manage to get in some running (30-40 minutes, 5 times) and had a really great day of waterskiing (which I haven't done in 2 years). I still need to look up the elevation difference, but man, I could
really feel it during those runs :-)
So, I'm back in CT...and the stress has returned two-fold. I don't know if my body is just adjusting to the time change, but I
cannot get myself out of bed in the morning to run. At least I went to yoga last night...2 weeks off from class and I felt tight, tight. Hopefully tonight I'll find the energy after work to get in those 5.5 miles the schedule calls for.
I have 2 long runs left before New Haven...I'm getting a
little scared about both upcoming races (20K and half-marathon). I haven't been super-excited about my training since my previous half; granted, my body has been performing well, but my head and heart...well, they're just not into it as much as I'd like. Maybe I'm just suffering from post-vacation blues. I'm counting on tonight's run to bring me back to a better place.
And thank you for all the comments while I was away...I couldn't sleep the night before my first day back at work, and when I logged on and saw all the messages, well, I knew it would be okay because I had so many RBFers that cared :-) Thanks.
